The Vinnytsia City Museum opened in early 2022 after five years of work by the Vinnytsia History Center, which initiated the creation of the city museum. The institution is housed in an early 20th-century historic building known as the Lvovych Estate, located in the very heart of the city.
The museum aims to shape urban identity and to explore the history of Vinnytsia in its many dimensions — from everyday life to the city’s strategic role in the history of Ukraine. Although the site is located not within Vinnytsia itself but about 8 km outside the city, it is an important place of memory worth visiting. During their retreat, the Germans destroyed most of the structures, and today only ruins remain. The area now hosts a historical and memorial complex dedicated to the victims of Nazism, with an экскурsion route and informational panels.

Each of these institutions tells the story of Podillia and its people in its own way, preserving not only artifacts but also a living connection between past and present.
