About exhibition
The virtual exhibition “Szilvashi Circles”, presented as a full-scale 3D tour, marks a new stage in the life of this landmark museum retrospective, now accessible to everyone regardless of time or place. Thanks to the collaboration with the NGO “Museum of Contemporary Art” and the Ukrainian Museum of Contemporary Art, the large-scale exhibition that once occupied five floors of the Ukrainian House has come to life in the digital space. The virtual tour allows visitors to move freely through the galleries, view the works up close, read curatorial texts, and grasp the exhibition’s conceptual structure—most notably by immersing themselves in the atmosphere of the installation featuring the distinctive Szilvashi Blue hue, which became its visual focal point.
This is more than an online replica of a physical space: through photogrammetry, 3D scanning, and interactive design, the exhibition retains its emotional, educational, and aesthetic value even after the physical show has ended. At a time when Ukrainian contemporary art requires new models of preservation and accessibility, the “Szilvashi Circles” 3D tour becomes an open platform for exploration—for students, curators, art historians, and all admirers of visual culture in Ukraine and around the world.
We invite you to view the exhibition online and to walk through the “circles” of ideas of one of the most influential contemporary Ukrainian abstractionists.
