About the audio guide
The sign-language–adapted audio guide to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra was created to make exploring one of Ukraine’s most important sacred sites accessible and comfortable for visitors with hearing impairments. Accompanied by sign language interpretation, it allows you to discover step by step the history, architecture, and spiritual meaning of the National Preserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.”
The Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is a unique cultural and historical complex and a national shrine of Ukraine, included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Its territory contains more than 140 monuments dating from the 11th to the 20th centuries, including cave complexes, churches, and examples of ecclesiastical and civil architecture. Founded in the 11th century in the very heart of Kyiv, the Lavra has for centuries been a center of spiritual life, scholarship, and artistic development. The adapted audio guide helps you experience this place as a living history, where architecture, sacred spaces, and symbols reveal the depth of Ukraine’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
