They manage to professionally combine the two main tasks of the museum – preservation and popularization. Their collections are secured, but this does not prevent them from attracting more and more people. Exhibitions, quests, excursions, concerts, immersive shows, virtual tours, and much more. They are visited by thousands of people during just one event, and cooperation reaches far beyond the borders of Ukraine. And every time these are new projects and methods of implementation that surprise and have publicity in the media, overcoming any barriers.

The National Art Museum of Ukraine or NAMU is the oldest in Kyiv, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. The Museum of Fine Arts has the most representative collection of Ukrainian art in the world, and the collection includes more than 40,000 exhibits from the 12th century to the present day. Although the museum is closed to permanent visitors, its employees arrange temporary exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and practices, and systematically digitize their collections.

The collections of Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko, famous patrons of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, became the basis of the museum’s collection. Now it has 25,000 items.
